Blazingstar Farm is a small farm and urban homestead owned by Don Albrecht and David Mahon. We’re urban homesteaders and new farmers exploring the world through an agricultural lens. We strive to grow our own food, steward the land, reconnect with nature and share our experiences with others.
The Urban Homestead
The homestead is a tiny plot of land around a century-old bungalow in Chicago. Here we’re exploring permaculture and integrating sustainable gardening and farming practices within the urban landscape.
The Farm
The Farm is located around the lake from Chicago near South Haven MI. It’s a ten-acre blueberry operation paired with seven acres of gardens, woods, and meadows. Here we can escape the city, dream big and try to build a business out of our passions.
